Become a Partner
www.FilmAnnex.com and www.SmallCapTube.com (the financial partner of Film Annex) would like to create a Web TV for you (for free) with an interactive player, where you can present all your work, including full length-films, clips from your work, behind the scenes footage, interviews, etc. Our Web TVs are designed to present your work in the most effective way possible without any complex layout or social network dependence. Moreover, you/we can pick a dedicated domain name for you, such as your name or your production company's name, whatever you prefer to make your Web TV more personable. We do this because, we want to promote your name to the public, and not the forward-slash mentality. You can see an example of a Web TV here: www.SmallCapTube.com and a full list of them here: http://www.filmannex.com/watch_movies/webtvs
Film Annex had 30 million users last year, and is now cash flow positive!
Revenue Share:
We will pay you 30% of the revenues generated on your Web TV through the video ads (15-30 second ads before each video). In addition, you will get another 30% if you put your Web TV player on your own website. And if you decide to put this player on other websites, you will get an extra 30% of the generated revenues depending on the deal with the third-party publisher. Our goal is to generate constant revenues on your Web TV and through the syndication of your Web TV player on alternative and interested websites.
How do we get started?
The first step is to upload on Film Annex a minimum of 4 clips of at least 4 minutes. The videos can be older projects or clips from a new production, such as behind the scenes, interviews with the filmmaker, the crew, etc. Of course, the higher quality you choose to upload, the better the response is.
How do you get paid?
Once you upload your initial videos, Film Annex creates a Web TV for you with a dedicated domain name I mentioned below and broadcasts the uploaded videos on this Web TV. From the advertising revenues generated on this Web TV, 30% is paid to you. For example, if your video gets 1 million hits in the US and UK, your revenue would equal to $3500. This is only from one video. The more content you have, the more revenues you receive.
Syndication
This might be the most important step in terms of adding to your revenues. Your Web TV player is syndication-friendly, which means that with a simple code, you can put your player on your own website as well as any other websites you find suitable for your content. Of course, you would want to put your player on a site with decent traffic, for example, a popular blog your friend has or a site with content related to topics you explore in your films, etc.
The syndicated player comes with your content and ads from Film Annex's ad network (same pre-rolls you see on your Web TV). Since you put your player on a third-party website, now the revenues are split 3 ways. There are two options here.
1) The third-party website owner might ask for one-third of the pie. In that case instead of the $3500, you get $2300 for a million hits.
2) The third-party website owner might want to give you his share and become a financier (ex. executive producer) on your next film project. This way, you receive 66% of the revenues, resulting in $4600.
Basically, more syndication = more traffic = more revenues = more promotion. Syndication is of course a step that comes after creating your Web TV, which generates constant revenues nevertheless. In short, whatever you choose to do with Film Annex, you will be generating revenues.
